Shawn Peterson
President
Shawn Peterson has over 20 years of economic development experience. He started his career at Baker & Daniels LLP assisting governments, schools, nonprofits, and developers with municipal and tax-exempt financing. He later served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of South Bend representing its Redevelopment Commission, Board of Works, and Historic Preservation Commission. He later joined the Indiana Economic Development Corporation serving as its Vice President and General Counsel before he re-entered private practice focusing on encouraging development in low-income communities and various tax credit programs, including new markets tax credits and state redevelopment tax credits. Since 2017, Peterson has consulted with numerous high-growth businesses and impactful nonprofit organizations looking to make catalytic investments and continues to do so as President of Community Redevelopment, located in South Bend, Indiana. He also continues his legal practice in economic development, tax, public, and private finance law through Krieg DeVault LLP.
Shawn holds a Doctor of Law from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Business Economics & Public Policy from Indiana University.

David Holt
Chief Operating Officer
David Holt brings over 30 years of experience to operations management, strategic planning, economic development, government affairs and public policy planning and creation and has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.
David is a senior advisor for Krieg DeVault law firm and assists clients in navigating regulatory, policy and development challenges. Most recently he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff for the Indiana Destination Development Corporation where he managed the agency and convinced the Indiana General Assembly to increase and focus tourism marketing dollars on a new state message that assisted Indiana's economic development efforts leading to new visitors and growing Indiana's population. He came to IDDC after serving as senior vice president, development and community affairs for Holladay Properties, a South Bend-based land development company. In his role, Holt was responsible for the development of the industrial portfolio for AmeriPlex, the industrial development south of I-70 by the Indianapolis Airport; assisted the Indianapolis Airport Authority with development of World Connect @ IND (the airport's business park); and managed government affairs, community relations and trade association activities for Holladay. Previously Holt served as Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Conexus Indiana. During his tenure, Holt developed, recruited and led the formation of the Conexus Indiana Logistics Council (CILC), a forum of prominent logistics executives, throughout the state of Indiana, and six regional logistics council in Northwest, North Central, Northeast, Central, Southwest and Southeast Indiana. Holt also chaired the INDOT agency review team for Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb’s Transition Team and moderated Indiana Governor Mike Pence’s Blue Ribbon Panel for Transportation Infrastructure. Holt formerly served as the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Vice-President of Health Care/Education Policy and Federal Relations, acting as an integral part of that organization’s governmental relations team at the federal and levels. Holt’s professional career has also included service in Washington DC as Chief of Staff in the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education and a Senior Legislative Aide to a U.S. Representative on Capitol Hill.
Holt holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ball State University.

Chrystina Shearer
Redevelopment Project Manger
Chrystina brings to the team 25 years of experience in the design and construction industry with the bulk of her experience managing cradle to grave projects as an owners representative. She has a successful track record of delivering projects on time, scope, and under budget. Chrystina is a licensed architect and certified project management professional. After living in various places in the Midwest, she has returned home and is excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact and enhance her hometown region.
Chrystina holds a Master of Business Administration from Viterbo and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Ball State University.
