Marshall County Life Center

Our team secured critical funding and aligned cross-sector partners to deliver a centralized hub for child care, workforce training and community wellness.

The Marshall County Life Center is a community-focused facility designed to deliver behavioral health services, wellness programming and wraparound support for residents across Marshall County. The center brings together counseling, recovery services, workforce training, child care and family assistance in one centralized location to better meet the county’s health and social service needs.

The Challenge

Marshall County faced three interconnected gaps: limited access to licensed child care, insufficient workforce training opportunities and fragmented social services spread across the county. High child poverty rates and low workforce participation made it difficult for families to advance, while service providers lacked a shared space to coordinate care and support.

HOW COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT MADE A DIFFERENCE

THE SOLUTION:

Our team helped move the project from concept to completion by securing public, philanthropic and tax-credit funding and guiding the development process. Our team provided land-use and environmental planning support, coordinated construction and aligned partners across education, health care, nonprofit and government sectors. The result was a financially sustainable facility designed to serve multiple community needs under one roof.

WHAT WE ACHIEVED:

The Marshall County Life Center has expanded access to essential services and strengthened family stability in a rural community with limited resources. By consolidating programs and providers, the center improves coordination, reduces barriers to care and supports long-term workforce participation.
